2017 Nissan Sentra: Key Points

It is an affordable, reliable car for someone on a budget. It is not very fast, but it gets me to where I need to go everyday. I primarily use it to go to work and school. It has not given me any problems so far. It is fantastic on gas. The gas tank is small only 10 gallons.

The heated seats are great for the winter, has two speed setting which I love. Heats up quick for the coldest days. Large backseat, plenty of trunk space. Has Bluetooth and aux and Sirius XM. Amazing car overall. Barely hear the wind, drives very smoothly. No complaints.

Four door comfortable car.
I love my car, I lease my car's so this is the fourth sentra that I have had. I cannot say enough good things about it. The car gets great gas mileage, it is comfortable when driving and easy to operate. It's a four door so it is convenient for me to get my daughter in and out. Despite being a smaller car, the trunk is spacious and the back seats fold down which is a plus. The lease payments are inexpensive which is a plus. I highly recommend this vehicle.

Driver's side seatbelt bad.
Own my Nissan for 2 yrs and turned into nightmare. Weather stripping is loose all areas of car. My drivers side seatbelt has damaged my frame now my door sensor light stay on .My back seats seat belt are stuck and dont work. Please recall this car and i have pics of my problems .

I would not recommend this car to anyone.
I have had transmission problems, the door handle is plastic and broke from pulling it whole door was locked, it is small in size, has broken down or not started several times, when the ac is on has no acceleration. I would not recommend this car to anyone especially a teenager as first car even though it is a newer car with less than 80,000 miles it is not reliable.

Hot ride in sports mode..
The car is great on performance, it is reliable and comfortable. I do not have any problems with it. I just love faster cars. Nissan are very affordable and reliable cars. The weather stripping in most of them does come off though. The car is pretty fast though, it is just not a sports car per say.

Worst car i ever bought including used ones
Problems since i have owned it new in 2017. Every sensor went out in it, then cvt transmission failed, then the exhaust manifold cracked. And now it jumped timing. And out of all this the only thing Nissan fixed that didnt come out of my pocket was the sensors. And i still owe $17,000 on car, so unless nissan will replace this car then my suggestion would be dont buy a sentra or nissan cause they wont back their own product.

Reliability and standing by your product
I would not buy another sentra I have the basic without a letter it's like everyone who bought the beginning sentra got douped mine rusted; had to replace trunk they didn't want to give me a rental then there was popping in the console then it would stop at work at less two to four times a month took it back where I bought could not find the problem corporate sent me to another dealer, and after one year transmission gone. The car started acting up again 30mins after pulling off lot, they tell me "your warranty is up have to take it where you bought it". I took it there they tell me they have to do the brain other place forget when fixing the transmission they have to reprogram it. In one month car stop again call everyone involved when it stop again, told us to call them and we will tow it that's was a lie. Finally after being told by the dealership that hills make the battery drain, I got feed up and took it to the mechanic who fix my other cars. He found out it was the alternator. After he fixed it said that the car was a weird to say how much work has went into it to say it's new and that the dealer is always insisting that only that could fix on the car properly. Long story short they don't stand by their cars and their liars, but the story still not over my mechanic is going by our long list to look over the whole car and they blame everyone else but themselves worst of all will not let me trade it even though my income is over 2000 a month and they messed up my paperwork this has been the worst out of all the cars l had

Horrible transmission for Nissan sentra.
There is less than 50,000 miles and only 3 years old and I already had to get the transmission fixed. This car has a horrible transmission! When they said they fixed the problem they didn't it still leaks and slips. The seats are very uncomfortable and the car is a really small car. I do not recommend buying this year and make.

2017 nissan sentra with cvt transmission after having car 1 1/2 yrs the transmission went out. Cost $4000 to fix due to warrenty no good after 60000 mile nissan wont fix it even though its a known problem with cvt transmissions. Dont buy one

What Problems Does the 2017 Nissan Sentra Have?
Problems with the Sentra include transmission failures, power steering issues, and peeling paint. There are fewer complaints on the 2018–2020 models, but transmission problems are still a serious concern.
Transmission failures are the most common issue on Sentras at around 95,000 miles. Nissan has a long history of broken transmissions. The only solution is replacing the entire assembly, costing over $3,000.
Power steering problems resulting in the vehicle being unable to turn or start show up at around 90,000 miles. The electric power steering motor fails, and replacing the assembly costs about $1,500.
Peeling paint is another complaint from owners at around 50,000 miles. Paint which is improperly cared for peels easily. The only solution is repainting affected areas at about $800 per panel.

2017 Nissan sentra sedan automobile.
Very nice handling vehicle. Plenty of power. Comfortable ride. Nice interior with back up camera to assist you with safety in parking lots. Can be a little loud from road noise. Engine and transmission are smooth. Also has an “eco” and “sport” button to give a little zip in the city and better fuel economy on the road.

Beyond its time definitely holds strong.
The mileage has to be the biggest issue for me, it has to be longer to accustom my way of driving. It is very reliable when it comes to gas performance since you will not need to fill it up as much as you need. Love the features it is accustomed to my style of car and up to modern technology that I enjoy.

Reliable stick shift at affordable prices.
111,000 miles and no breakdown. It's a stick shift which may be why. Only issues is inside upholstery is starting to peel up, and the clutch is pretty finicky. Otherwise the car looks great and drives great, only oil changes and brakes have been needed on the car.

Undercarriage shield on Nissan sentra.
The vehicle runs perfectly especially for it to be a 2017. The main issue that I have came across is the body of the vehicle. By this I mean there is a shield underneath the vehicle that I have noticed hangs down upon the first bump against a high driveway or curb. I have personally removed this shield as it causes more harm than protection to the undercarriage.

Sentra midnight edition review.
Love the color and the midnight edition is not seen very much on the road so I feel like I have something a little more unique. Good pickup and nice amenities inside. I feel it will be a good looking car and modern enough to blend in with the rest of the vehicles on the road for years to come.

I love the heated seats and the defrost is super fast compared to my old car!
Makes a small tapping noise when cold. Brakes squeal pretty loud depending on whether it has rained or if it is cold outside. Car was bought used so there were some scratches but they're easily fixable if needed. Comfort and performance are way better than when I had my ford escape.

I love my car and it is reliability!
I have experienced no problems in the 2 years I have owned it. Very reliable. High mpg, 33.6. I fill up every week or so and drive on the interstate. Easy to keep clean. I drive very often, I make 30 mil trips often. My car gets to speed quickly. No engine or brake problems.

Nissan 2017 review in year 2020.
I hardly ever have any problems. Every now and then my tire pressure light comes on no matter how much air is in my tire but other than that no problems. I do feel as though it should have Bluetooth considering the fact that it is a 2017. It is not as up to date as the 2017 Altima.

I like that it does have a backup camera as well as a screen that is Bluetooth.
I would like more features like a bigger screen leather seats and power seats. I would like it to have GPS and have a sunroof as well as heats and cool down seats as well as heated and cool down cup holders. Other than those luxury features I really like my car and it is a great starter car to get me to my work school and home.

Small car very good on gas. It has a moonroof,GPS, Bluetooth. Very low mileage. Large roomy trunk. Backseat has protective cover. New battery, good tires. Push button start. Remote starter. Sometimes you have to push the remote starter button more than once. Runs for 20 minutes then shuts off.

Safe and reliable Nissan sentra.
It is a very comfortable car and pretty safe to drive. No problems thus far, and has nice features like alerting me when there are objects that are too close, low on gas, maintenance check ups are due, etc. There is no built in GPS but everyone has a smartphone these days.

The Nissan sentra runs comfortably I have not had any problems with it I have traveled from New York to South Carolina I have gone to Alabama south driving it and I have enjoyed every bit of the power is comfortable it has a sports and it has a regular drive and when you put it in spots on the road really moves fast for you I keep it clean I haven’t had any problems with it that is fine.

2017 Nissan sentra: a reliable and safe choice.
This is a great car. It has been very reliable and good on gas mileage. In the 2 years we've owned it we haven't had any issues, only the cost of tires and oil changes. My one and only complaint is that I am too tall and often need to duck to check blind spots, etc.

Safe, reliable, and simple.
I love my Nissan sentra because it has a top safety rating, drives pretty smoothly (or at least smooth enough for my taste), and is easy to control. It has been my very first car. My only thing against it is that I would have preferred a larger car like the Nissan rogue. I also wish the car had a touchscreen with a map and way to control my music, phone calls etc. In a more interactive way.

2017 Nissan sentra for beginners.
So far I have not had any issues with my sentra. It has a backup camera, Bluetooth and eco mode and sport mode for highway mileage. The mileage on it is very good if you use the eco mode for suburban driving and sport mode for highway driving. I would recommend this as a great first starter car or a daily driver car.

I find my backup camera very useful and the space of my overall vehicle, such as the trunk and leg space in the back seats. It is not a very fast car but it is great in gas mileage. It is a great small family car with great reliability if you are not in the market for a performance sedan but want a few added features.

My car runs and looks great. I love everything about my car. Especially all the features. It does well on gas and it rides smoother than a baby's bottom. My kids love it too. Nissans are very reliable good in gas. Low maintenance easy to drive love all Nissans. I didn't have any major problems with it I also like the gadgets that come with it plus it is a compact case and it is easy to park. It had rear end camera and it will also tell you how many miles you have before your have to gas up.

Gas mileage and stereo system.
It is a great first vehicle to buy on your own for a cheaper price. Great sound system, awesome gas mileage in the city and on the highway. If you have a family and do a lot of daily activities you'll love this car. Bluetooth works phenomenally so you never have to worry about the radio either. Lots of legroom to cut 5 easily.

I am very happy with my Nissan sentra. It is reliable and I have not had to spend any money on repairs other than preventative maintenance such as oil changes. It is good on gas. This is my third leased sentra and pretty soon I will trade it in for a newer sentra.

I really enjoy the trunk, it is huge in there with a lot of space.
Overall performance is great, it really has everything you need in it. I might just be my car specifically but when you run the car without turning it fully on, the battery dies only after a short bit. Also, since the front bumper is low to the ground, it is really easy to get dents on it.

Reliable transportation and great value.
Great gas mileage. There have been a couple of recalls on my vehicle. They are very reliable. I have had mine for 3 years and the battery life is great. I was still under warranty so I didn't have to pay for the battery. The car value does decrease significantly on a daily basis. I wish I would get more value when/if I am ready to trade it in. This is my 4th Nissan.

Overall and amazing vehicle.
My vehicle is amazing. It is very spacious and great on gas. It has a very smooth ride. The seats are extremely comfortable. The keys dye super quickly. Both of my keys have gone dead on the push to start. The door handles separate easily. Overall I love my car and wouldn't trade it for any other style.

Heated seats, color and extra enhancements of rims and tinted windows.
My sentra is everything. I have had it for 3 years. I haven’t had any problems but regular maintenance duties such oil change, tires and etc.. I believe if you take care of your vehicle. It will do the same in return. The sentra is still in wonderful condition. I would say this vehicle could last me another 5 years before needing expensive maintenance.

Best car purchase: Nissan sentra.
Buying a relatively new car is hard to find a reliable long lasting car that will be cheap to fix any issues that arise, and to have a sleek look. Buying a Nissan was one of the best ideas I have had, especially a smaller one of the vehicles. Nissan Sentras have an amazing gas mileage with an eco mode to maximize this, the backup camera, Bluetooth radio, and spacious seating offer a excellent car for young or old buyers of a car.

The voice control of the car allows me to take calls, and send messages.
Comfortable, economical and great on gas. Has the eco button which helps save more on gas, no problems at all. Good car for a single person or a couple with no kids. Not a family vehicle due to the lack of space. It is small but like I stated a very comfortable car. Great to travel in, especially in road trips. Smooth drive and very reliable. Great car overall.

Great gas saver and modern look.
I have been driving my vehicle for 3 years. I haven't had any major issues. Its gas saver I love that it has a sport feature and an ecosystem. It helps to keep up with you regular check up. I only had to change tires and brake pads. Trunk space is reasonable 5 passenger car.

2017 sentra- beautiful but not great quality.
I absolutely loved my car when I first got it, but now there is few problems with it. There is an issue with the fan, making my car very loud while it is in drive. The brakes also squeak very bad, and have almost since I bought the car. The mechanic says there is nothing wrong with the brakes, but the noise is very annoying.

Great little car for the value.
I love the gas mileage. I am getting about 30 city/42 highway and that is doing 5 over the speed limit. I have had zero issues with anything. I have only had to replace windshield wipers and a damaged tire at this point. It has a decent sized screen for viewing the backup camera. The fully hands free connectivity with my phone makes it easier to listen to my music and drive without distractions. I am a little sad that I didn't hold out on buying until they made all of the safety features standard but other than that it is a great car for cruising the city and commuting to work. It is not as nice for long trips simply because it is compact and less spacious than a full size. The seats also could be a little softer, but the mileage I get in it helps me save money on fuel during trips.

The most reliable and economical car possible.
I really love my Nissan sentra, having bigger cars in the past I was a little worried about having a smaller car. The best thing that I love about my car is that no matter how much gas keeps going up in the world my gas bill is so much cheaper than any other car that I have had in the past. My car is so economical that I could convince anyone to buy one. I have also had my car for a little while now and she is very reliable, does not give me many problems at all. And since she is smaller she is easier to maintain than most cars.

The color is silver pretty when its clean.
The car has not to many functions.Not good on gas. Its looks like its made out of plastic. Because if u hit a pole it's like badly damaged. And badly made paint chips off and it's not even that old. I think I paid to much for the car. I do like the Bluetooth in the car. And the front room in the car.Back seat really small.

2017 Nissan sentra is a great car.
I bought my 2017 Nissan sentra a few months ago. The Bluetooth feature is really nice, as well as the great layout for all of the controls. The biggest downside is that it is a v4 engine. The gas mileage is really good. I went on a trip and drove almost 400 miles before filling up the car with gas. I strongly recommend the vehicle to anyone who is looking to buy a sedan.

Good and bad car reviews on a Nissan.
The push to start would mess up sometimes and the brakes really weren't that good. But the car wasn't all that bad it was a nice color. And plus it was really good on gas to.,. I could drive all week and not have to fill her up until like the end of the week. I just didn't like how small it was. I couldn't put a lot of stuff in there.

Wonderful 2017 Nissan sentra.
I have not had any issues with my car since I have had it. One of the speakers is somewhat blown since I bought it, but I bought it used and it was most likely user error. It is really good with gas and overall I love my car and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

2017 Nissan sentra. Worth looking into. Great for a family.
So far a solid vehicle. Good gas mileage. Comfortable, great leg room. Nice sized trunk. Comfortable with 3 grandkids in back seat. Classic look. Drives well on the beach. We have put a kayak on the roof. It worked out well. Easy for my 81 year old mother to get in and out of.

Sleek look for a regular sedan.
It is a good car, good creature comforts, decent gas mileage and comfortable to drive. The engine is fairly powerful for a 1.8, and the CVT transmission makes it a pleasure to drive. The best feature I like the most are as follows: the dual driver modes. And the automatic air level system, the car literally honks at you when each tire is full while it is running. How cool is that?

The fast little car with space.
Love the car. Has lots of space on the inside and the truck. The seats are very soft and comfortable. The car has several speed options including turbo and cruise control. The car has not broken down for me. I love that my car came with tinted windows.

Great reliable and cost effective car!
The vehicle is wonderful and I do not have any problem at all. However because it sits a little high from the ground, wind gets under it often. It is durable and great on gas. Also very good for college students. It runs pretty quietly and has a very spacious interior and trunk. The Nissan sentra is also a very popular car.

Great car, cheap gas and more functionality than most for the price.
Performance is really good. I have never had any problems with it. I love how it never lets me down and is the color that I like. Its performance is top notch and is literally super cheap to drive and gas is also cheap. Cannot be happier with this purchase. I don't think I am changing anytime soon.

Dependable, comfortable, very roomie for a small size car.
I have owned 4 sentra. I have never had any engine trouble with any of them. No brake trouble, very stylish. Comfortable seating. Very dependable. The Nissan dealership I have deal with really worked hard to put me in a nice vehicle that fit my budget.

Perfect 1st car & beyond! Will last forever.
I love my Nissan sentra. It is extremely great on gas, low maintenance and spacious for me. I have taken the car on many road trips, from Austin to Atlanta, Austin to Seattle and Atlanta to New Jersey and the car rides so smoothly. I have the basic model, but it still includes Bluetooth, cruise control and power everything.

Eco friendly efficient car.
My vehicle has so far been nothing short of amazing. It is fuel efficient, smooth to drive and requires very little maintenance throughout the year. It is spacious for a family of five and economic friendly. I am able to save on gas every month as it costs very little to fill the tank completely up.

Absolutely consider getting one. This is my third Sentra! You can't go wrong with Nissan. They're excellent cars.
I like the size. I love the fuel economy. I like the look overall of the car. I like the safety features and I like the low cost.

A good reliable car, a bit expensive but comparable to cars like it.
It is small, but comfortable. Has great gas mileage both city and highway so travelling in this car in that aspect is good. I do think it is a bit disappointing that the car is so expensive and does not have basic features like automatic seats. I could certainly do without the AUX connection and USB connection for the automatic seats.

Perfect first car. Cheap and affordable.
I have no vehicle problems. The car is great on gas and it is very comfortable for long trips. The performance is alright since it is a 4 cylinder you are expecting a small engine with not a lot of power but it'll take you from point a to point b. I really enjoy this car and it is affordable.
